SeniorBridge offers free educational web seminars to families and professionals who serve older Americans. We welcome you to access these resources and are pleased to offer Continuing Education Units for most programs. To receive a certificate, professionals should attend a seminar during the time it is scheduled and remain online during the duration of the event or watch an event online and take the assigned quiz by the web deadline listed under the deadline.

Session Description
Just in time for National Healthcare Decisions Day, this dynamic session will offer strategies to honor patients' autonomy and give them the opportunity to reflect upon and tell us how they wish to be cared for if they lose their ability to consider or communicate their views. Expert advice combined with an inspiring family case study will provide perspective as well as practical tips to implement successful advance care planning strategies.
Expert Speakers
Paul Malley, President of Aging with Dignity, a national non-profit organization with a mission to affirm and safeguard the human dignity of individuals as they age and to promote better end-of-life care, will introduce Five Wishes, America’s favorite living will.
Rona S. Bartelstone, LCSW, MSW, CMC, Senior Vice President of Care Management at SeniorBridge and co-founder of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers will discuss how professionals can support families in ethical healthcare decision making.
Laura Marshall, Regional Director of Professional Relations at SeniorBridge, will offer her perspective as a daughter who, along with family members, moved her mother to document her wishes then overcame obstacles to implement them.
1.0 Nurse, Social Worker & CCMC Continuing Education Credits Provided by SeniorBridge* Nurse contact hours approved by State of Florida Nursing Board for RN, ARNP, CNS, LPN & Social Work credits approved by State of Florida Social Work Board for LCSW, LMFT, LMHC.
